The musician who is currently promoting his new singles Shape of You and Castle on the Hill in a special hang out session with Elvis Duran on the Elvis Duran Show in New York revealed Ghana as a great tourism destination.

The singer who spent 6 months travelling around the world in last year spoke highly Ghana’s music

“If I could recommend, Ghana for me. The music and the food and the people. Everyone there is so happy. They are so pro music, it’s just.. Everything is a dance. You walk anywhere and something music comes on and the whole street starts dancing.

I made a song with Ghanaian musicians for the album and I spent a bit of time there where else the food was really good. They do this thing called “Waakye” which is like spicy rice …”

In June 2016, Ed Sheeran visited Ghana unannounced where he spent time with Afrobeats artist Fuse ODG, music producer Killbeatz and a number of Ghanaian artists recording new songs and touring interesting sites.
