It is quite true that you could even find a counterfeit of yourself in China and so it comes as no news if Dr. Dre believes his Beats Electronics are being counterfeited in China. (He’s delayed. It’s been long overdue).
Well, according to recent reports, Dr. Dre is suing a couple of Chinese-based websites that have tried to mimic his Beats Electronics design and now Apple’s latest acquisition is fighting back in a lawsuit.
TMZ reports that “Docs reportedly say that Beats wants the sites to stop making knockoffs that sports the “b” logo, which have racked up over $135 billion, in revenue.
The company wants to get a hold of ownership over the Chinese-based domains that are selling their goodies for cheap, and of course, receive their billion-dollar profits. Beats wants to protect their trademark and named-dropped a few celebs, including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Diddy, who use their popular products”
