Radio personality with Capital Xtra and pioneer of the Afrobeats movement in the UK, DJ Abrantee has hit back at members of the black community calling for a boycott of the 88th Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for February this year.
In a series of tweets, the presenter questioned why some individuals were calling on the host to Chris Rock to boycott the awards when he has bills to pay.

The presenter also disclosed blacks do not support their own but are quick to play the race card whenever they are discriminated against.
He narrated the challenges he faced and continue to face since he started the Afrobeats movement.

DJ Abrantee has called on the black community to also support their own if they are not happy at the treatment being meted out to them.
