It seems Kanye West’s idea of performing with a floating stage at the opening of his Saint Pablo tour in Indianapolis on Thursday August 25 2016 is nothing new after all and doesn’t really come as any form of ingenuity to many who watched South African hip hop artist Cassper Nyovest perform in front of a 20,000 audience at his own headlined concert Fill The Dome back in 2015.
A concept already used by Cassper Nyovest, the Mama I Made It hit maker who seems overly excited about the fact that his idol and husband of Kim Kardashian made use of a risk he undertook months ago took to picture sharing site Instagram to share an opinion on the act put by Kanye West.
He acknowledged the fact that Kanye’s act had received world attention because of geographical location and that the African child is as agreat as anyone.
Check out his post from below.
I really can’t get over this picture!!! Last year I took the biggest risk of my career and 20 000 Africans got behind me with a concept called #FillUpTheDome . This morning I wake up to see my Idol using a Floating stage that look like the one me and @formativedesign designed for the event last year. The very same concept , obviously the world will bug out more cause it’s Kanye but it’s just a great feeling for me to do something before my idol . African child!!! This pic should show you that we are just as great!!! All we need is a platform!!! #SameStageAsCassper
It must be stated that Cassper Nyovest was not the first to perform on such a stage, neither was Kanye West as Jean-Michel Jarre did same years back.
