Many a times, celebrities have been told to live exemplary lives especially as they wield a level of influence and act as role models to many others however, Ghanaian musician MzBel thinks otherwise.
According to the 16 years hit maker, celebrities are not responsible for the upbringing of people who follow them hence cannot be blamed when such people go wayward.
As monitored by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, MzBel shared an opinion on recent video shared by controversial dancehall artist Shatta Wale on Snapchat that saw a lady suck the p*enis of two men.
According to the musician, she saw nothing wrong with the act since it was a private affair that eventually landed in the public space.
“Even if it was on a live video, I don’t find anything wrong with it. The guy has shown that he’s not just powerful…,” she said.
Asked if it was right for celebrities who wield enough power and influence over their fans to share such wayward lifestyles, the musician stated they (celebrities) had their own lives and were not responsible for how fans or people they influenced behave.
“Train your children the way you want them to grow. Don’t let them depend on celebrities. This is the mistake parents make; shedding their responsibilities on role models. If you don’t teach your kids well and they pick up the dirty stuff we do, you cannot blame us for it.
Charity begins at home so if you don’t want your kids to learn certain things, teach them. It’s admissible we are powerful… we influence people but when you nurture your children well, they will differentiate between evil and good,” she said.
