After several weeks of keenly contesting for one of Nigeria’s topmost singing competitions, 28-year-old stage actress Agharese Emokpae popularly known as A’rese has been crowned the first season of The Voice Nigeria.
She got into the final two with Chike who had already proven to be a tough competitor all along the competition.
The two performed Hallelujah by Jeff Buckly and Mama by Kiss Daniel respectively.
According to information available to www.nydjlive.com, A’rese comes from a creative family and has since graduating from Washington and Lee University in 2010 been doing music theatre.
She has starred in various musicals and theatre productions in both Nigeria and The United States.
A’rese has expressed her appreciation to Nigerians for voting.
