AKA Pulls Out of South Africa Hip Hop Awards; Says He Doesn’t Believe In Concept of Awards Anymore

South African rap artist Kiernan Jarryd Forbes otherwise known as AKA is no more interested in awards.

AKA has asked his fans to desist from raining insults on organizers of the South Africa Hip Hop Awards for not nominating him in this year’s edition of the awards.

Despite having released a chart topping album with singles making it to charts week in and out, the rapper was conspicuously missing from the nominees list which didn’t sit well with his fans.

However, there is a reason and only AKA can clearly explain that.

In a series of tweets, the Fela In Versace hit maker advised fans to desist from insulting organizers of the awards since he didn’t submit his works for consideration.

According to him, the greatest reward or award is having his fans ‘rock’ with him.

He however stated clearly he does not look down on musicians who prefer to submit their works for awards.
