A Country Called Ghana: None Of The Skits You’ve Seen Is From The Movie – Victor Osuagwu

• The Nigerian actor put to rest concerns that too many scenes from the movie have been shared on social media.

Veteran Nigerian actor and comedian, Victor Osuagwu, has revealed that the skits seen from the set of A Country Called Ghana are not part of the movie.

In a recent interview, Victor Osuagwu revealed those skits were regular things they shot in between breaks just for social media.

Let me use this opportunity to tell everybody out there. Whatever you’ve watched online has nothing to do with the story. Whatever you’re watching are skits we shot for ourselves. So many of us are on social media. I have to keep my TikTok busy. I have to keep my Instagram busy. I have to keep all my social media platforms busy so we created our skits. They have nothing to do with the story. Whatever is outside there has nothing to do with the story.

There’s a particular one I took with the small PA where I was running and there was gunshot. The only involved in there is the costume but none of those skits from Charles, myself or any other person on this set has anything to do with the movie, he said.

Many had expressed concerns over several skits from the movie set shared across social media. According to many critics and well-wishers, the act could militate against people’s interest in wanting to watch the movie when finally ready.

Adding up to the statement, the producer for the movie, Frank Fiifi Gharbin revealed it was quite surprising to see people insult them for something they had no idea about.

“People insulted us for releasing scenes from the movie ourselves as if we didn’t know what we were about. Just be rest assured that anything you’ve seen online has nothing to do with the movie storyline. They are skits by the individual actors.”

Shot in Ghana, A Country Called Ghana has some Nigerian actors including Victor Osuagwu, Ramsey Nouah, and Charles Awurum.

The movie is set to premiere on May 5 and 6, 2024.

The announcement has since sparked anticipation among fans.
