Ghana’s most versatile female entertainer, Nana Ama McBrown has advised outspoken and controversial counsellor Lutterodt who seems worried over her marriage to Maxwell to ‘carry his own cross’ than worry about her marriage.
Speaking on OK FM with Abeiku Santana, Nana Ama McBrown in the presence of Counsellor Lutterodt said;
“Just as the Bible said, forgive Counsellor Lutterodt for he knows not what he’s doing. I’m not the only woman in Ghana who’s older than the husband and I’ve never had an issue with my husband since day one. Again, remember he asked me out and eventually married me so if it was a bother to him, his family or my family, our reunion wouldn’t have been possible so whenever someone talks about my husband and I, I only advise them to carry their own cross…”
Just like a few other Ghanaians who have left several commentaries on social media concerning her marriage to a relatively younger man, Counsellor Lutterodt has on several occasions described as an abomination a man marrying a woman older and has stated such marriages could be equated to marrying one’s own mother.
An encounter with the counsellor in the same studio therefore meant the perfect moment to respond to the outrage by the counselor over a period of time.
Nana Ama and her husband, Maxwell Mensah were put together in holy matrimony at a private wedding ceremony in Accra on Friday August 5, 2016.
The two later exchanged their vows at their white wedding which took place at the Christ Apostolic Church at Alajo in Accra officiated by Rev. Felix Owusu Sekyere.
