A call by a section of people of colour including Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith to boycott the awards has generated a lot of comments on social media. Earlier, host of the awards, Chris Rock described the Oscars as the ‘White BET”
Reports suggest, organizers of the awards are not thorn between a hard rock and Chris Rock for his comment.
The comic actor is facing pressure to bow out as host of the 88th annual Oscars — with less than six weeks to go before the Feb. 28 telecast.
