Odo Broni Marks Daddy Lumba’s 62nd Birthday With Support For Children At Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, has marked the 62nd birthday of the late Ghanaian highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, with a cash donation to support children receiving treatment at the Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).

The gesture, made in memory of the celebrated musician on what would have been his birthday, was initially intended to support children who were born on September 29, Daddy Lumba’s birthday.

However, upon visiting the Department, the team encountered children who were critically ill and in urgent need of financial assistance.

The focus of the gesture was therefore extended to include children requiring immediate support, with cash assistance distributed in envelopes to selected patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Child Health Daycare Oncology Unit.

The donation was also extended to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she visited children receiving critical care.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Child Health Department were Mr Benjamin Nkansah, Administrator of the Child Health Department, and CNO Evelyn Kumah.

The Child Health Department expressed its appreciation to Odo Broni for the gesture and for choosing to commemorate Daddy Lumba’s birthday by extending support to children and families going through difficult moments in their healthcare journey.
