Here’s who took home prizes from the 2026 National Television Awards.
Clarkson’s Farm, The Celebrity Traitors and This Morning were among winning shows at the 2026 National Television Awards last night.
Hosted by Joel Dommett for a sixth year, the glamourous ceremony took place in London with some of the UK’s most beloved stars taking home prizes.
With his appearances on shows including The Celebrity Traitors, Changing Ends, Last One Laughing and The Masked Singer, Alan Carr received the prestigious Special Recognition Award – the only category not voted for by the public.
Individual winners also included Vicky McClure – for her role in Trigger Point – Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley and David Attenborough, who won the award for TV Presenter, beating out the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Ant and Dec.
One of the biggest evenings for British TV, here is the full list of winners from the National Television Awards 2026.
1. Alan Carr — Special Recognition Award
After his time in the Celebrity Traitors castle, Alan Carr received a Special Recognition from the 2026 NTAs.
2. The Celebrity Traitors — Reality Competition
Winning out over two versions of I’m A Celeb, Race Across the World and the regular edition of The Traitors, the first series of The Celebrity Traitors won the NTA for Reality Competition.
3. I Fought The Law — New Drama
Telling the true story of Ann Ming, a woman who fought for 17 years to repeal the double jeopardy law after her daughter Julie was murdered, I Fought the Law on ITV won best New Drama. It was up against A Woman of Substance, Believe Me, Heated Rivalry and The Other Bennet Sister.
4. The 1% Club — Quiz Show
Hosted by Lee Mack, The 1% Club took home the prize for Quiz Show against Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, Richard Osman’s House of Games and The Chase.
5. Our Girls: The Southport Families — Authored Documentary
Following the parents of the three young girls who were murdered in the Southport attack, Our Girls: The Southport Families took home the award for Authored Documentary. Other nominees include Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home and Sir Chris Hoy: Cancer, Courage and Me.
6. Call the Midwife — Returning Drama
With 15 seasons to its name, Call the Midwife won Returning Drama over Blue Lights, Bridgerton, Stranger Things, and Trigger Point with stars including Scottish actress Laura Main there to collect the prize.
7. David Attenborough — TV Presenter
Following his 100th birthday earlier this year, David Attenborough won best TV presenter at the 2026 NTAs. His competition included Alison Hammond, Ant & Dec, Claudia Winkleman and Stacey Solomon.
8. Clarkson’s Farm — Reality Docuseries
Jeremy Clarkson scooped Reality Docuseries at this year’s National Television Awards for Clarkson’s Farm which also won the prize last year. Competition included At Home With The Furys, Fletchers’ Family Farm, Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, and Stacey & Joe.
9. Mrs Brown’s Boys — Comedy
Created by and starring Brendan O’Carroll, Mrs Brown’s Boys won the award for Comedy, beating competition including Amandaland, Changing Ends, Last One Laughing, and Not Going Out.
10. Vicky McClure, Trigger Point — Drama Performance
Ahead of Line of Duty returning to television screens, Vicky McClure has remained booked and busy with her role as Lana Washington earning her first National Television Award for Drama Performance despite past nominations. Her fellow nominees included: Ella Bruccoleri (The Other Bennet Sister), Judy Parfitt (Call the Midwife), Ruth Jones (Run Away) and Sheridan Smith (I Fought The Law).
11. Michael McIntyre’s Big Show — The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award
Formerly known as the Entertainment Award, the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award went to Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. The programme was up against Gladiators, The Graham Norton Show, The Masked Singer and Would I Lie to You?.
12. Emmerdale — Serial Drama
Up against all of the UK’s legendary soap operas, Emmerdale ultimately won the 2026 NTA for Serial Drama.
13. Jeff Hordley, Emmerdale — Serial Drama Performance
Following up Emmerdale’s success, Jeff Hordley won Serial Drama Performance for his role in the soap as Cain Dingle. The character had a storyline focused on prostate cancer.
14. Gogglebox — Factual Entertainment
Up against shows such as 24 Hours in Police Custody, Secret Garden, Sort Your Life Out, and The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, the 2026 NTA for Factual Entertainment went to Gogglebox.
15. This Morning — Daytime
Having been hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard since 2024, for a second year in a row This Morning won best Daytime show. Fellow nominees included Good Morning Britain, James Martin’s Saturday Morning, Loose Women, and Scam Interceptors.
16. Strictly Come Dancing — Talent Show
Strictly Come Dancing won the NTA for Talent Show, ahead of its imminent return with new hosts and dancers. It was up against Britain’s Got Talent, The Great British Bake Off, The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, and The Great Pottery Throw Down.
