The battle for supremacy continues as three of Ghana’s biggest senior high schools, Mfantsipim School, St Augustine’s College and Opoku Ware School, compete for the enviable title of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Having won the NSMQ twice in 1997 and 2002, Opoku Ware School, which has qualified for the grand final on 10 different occasions, hopes to break the jinx and win a 3rd title.
The contending champions, Mfantsipim School, also wish to extend their win to 4.
The school previously won in 1994, 2014 and 2024. They have been to the grand finals on 6 different occasions.
The last contender, St Augustine’s College, has reached the Grand Finale 4 times and won on 2 occasions (2007 and 2019).
