Tony Dath Calls On Ashanti Regional Minister To Address Terrible Street Lighting Problems In Kumasi

Ghanaian music star Anthony Beedwa, popularly known on stage as Tony Dath, has called on the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to pay critical attention to the poor street lighting situation in the city.

In a recent interview on Fakye TV, the music star who recently survived a road accident due to the terrible nature of street lighting in Kumasi recounted the unpleasant experience, saying,

“These streetlights are meant to help us drive safely at night, but that’s not what we see. I’m grateful to God for keeping me alive since I suffered from an accident last year that left me with a mark (pointing to his face) because of the terrific street lighting situation on our roads at night.”

He called on the newly appointed regional minister to heed the important call.

“He’s young, and I believe he can relate to us, so I pray he gives us an ear, “he said.

Tony Dath has also called on fellow musicians to help raise awareness and call on the appropriate authorities to address this critical need in the Ashanti Region.

“I’ll plead with my fellow musicians, including Oseikrom Sikani, Y Pee, and other interested persons, to join me on this campaign to demand good street lights, good roads, and generally a clean Kumasi.”
