Award-winning DJ, event promoter and official DJ for Ghanaian music superstar Sarkodie, DJ Mensah, has backtracked on his recent comment about Sarkodie performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, social media ran wild with reports of Sarkodie performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics following an interview granted by DJ Mensah on Asaase FM.
In the interview, the DJ is heard saying;
“With me and Sark, we have a few shows. We haven’t announced it yet but we are playing at the Olympics opening in France somewhere in August and then there’s an event that we have in the US.”
🚨ICYMI🇬🇭🎶🇫🇷: According to DJ Mensah— @sarkodie’s long-time DJ, Africa’s rap luminary @sarkodie will be performing at the opening of the 2024 @Olympics in Paris, France.

However, following the reports, DJ Mensah has backtracked on his submission.
In a series of tweets, DJ Mensah explained that there might be an event in Paris around the same time as the opening Paris Olympics where Sarkodie may perform and not the opening ceremony of the Olympics as being reported.
Let me clarify this before I’m misinterpreted: There “MIGHT” be an event in Paris around the same time the Olympics is happening, but it’s *NOT” during the opening ceremony. This is to provide more clarification on what is circulating.

Aside from that, he also issued a disclaimer suggesting he does not speak for SarkCess Music, Sarkodie’s record label.
I don’t speak for Sarkcess Music 🙏🏾 #GhanaPartyInPark24
