Fans of Ghanaian music star Kofi Kinaata who looked forward to the return of his annual Made In Taadi Concert following its cancellation last year have been left disappointed again following another setback.
The musician in an announcement has revealed the event will not be held for the second year running.
Among other reasons for the cancellation, Kofi Kinaata revealed the lack of “a suitable venue for the event after the Jubilee Park and Takoradi Technical University Park became inaccessible.”
In a statement, he wrote;
“Considering the nature of ‘Made in Taadi,’ all potential venues for this year’s concert have been advised against, citing concerns that could affect the safety and quality of the experience for our attendees. We want to assure our fans that management is actively working on solutions to overcome this setback in the future.”
To appease fans, Kofi Kinaata has revealed he will be releasing a new song in the coming days.
“On the brighter side, we are thrilled to announce that Kofi Kinaata will be releasing a new song in a few days.”
He also assured fans of some billed performances in the region and across the country.
“Also, despite the the unfortunate cancellation of the concert, fans will still have the opportunity to experience his electrifying performances during the Christmas season as he has been billed to perform at various events across Ghana during this festive time.
Even though ‘Made in Taadi Concert’ will not come off this year, Sekondi-Takoradi remains the Christmas destination in Ghana. We encourage everyone to look out for equally interesting events in the Oil City this Christmas season.”
Last year, Kofi Kinaata cited similar reasons for the cancellation of his annual concert.
