Bizzle Entertainment, organizers of the cancelled Shatta Wale in Wolverhampton concert have spoken out following accusations by the Ghanaian dancehall artist that they could not “meet the luxurious demands and requirements specified by Shatta Wale’s management.”
In a statement sighted by Nydjlive, the promoters who have an enviable track record of hosting concerts in the UK expressed their disappointment at the statement released by Shatta Wale.
According to them, the announcement by Shatta Wale took them by surprise as they were not informed of any such plans.
“We were shocked by the recent public announcement of the cancellation of the event by the management of the Shatta Movement Empire, this came as a surprise to us and to our dedicated audience.”
Shatta Wale’s Wolverhampton Concert Cancelled Due To “Luxurious Demands”
The statement further stated;
“Our agreement with Shatta Movement Empire explicitly states that in the event of unforeseen circumstances or disputes, both parties should engage in meaningful dialogue before making any public announcements or decisions regarding concert cancellations.
It is disheartening that Shatta Movement Empire chose to announce the cancellation of our event on social media without prior communication or notice to us regarding his concerns or demands.”
Although the organizers believe Shatta Wale has breached a term of their contract, they are ready to discuss any issues that may have arisen.
“We have been and are ever ready and prepared to discuss any issues that may have arisen, as we have always been throughout our working relationship.”
Concerning the inability to meet “luxurious demands”, Bizzle Entertainment in the statement said;
“We would like to clarify that we have met all requirements of our contract with Shatta Movement Empire and paid an initial 50% down payment of what was agreed in good faith, demonstrating our commitment to this event. We were eagerly looking forward to hosting Shatta Wale in Wolverhampton and offering our audience an unforgettable experience.”
The organizers have promised to update their patrons as they evaluate possible options.
“We are currently evaluating all possible options to amicably resolve the issue, including a potential rescheduling of the event or offering refunds to ticket holders. We will keep the public informed of our decisions as soon as possible.
We believe in professionalism, open communication, and delivering top-notch entertainment experiences to our audience. It is our hope that we can resolve this matter amicably with the Shatta Movement Empire in line with the terms of our agreement and continue to bring world-class entertainment to our community.”
